320 million women in India does not have access to sanitary napkins and menstruation is like a taboo in our country. It is like a disgrace and stigma cognate to buying of sanitary napkins.
Many young women and girls in India suffer due to poverty, and this makes their lives even harder when it comes to the time of their menstrual period. They cannot afford sanitary pads and other items, and so stay away from school during this time, or even end up dropping out completely.
PRAYAS TRUST believe that every women and girl deserves menstrual dignity and solemnity, meaning access to education about menstruation, access to sanitary napkins, and freedom from stigmas and taboos surrounding menstruation in our country.
PRAYAS trust care about the cause and initiated a programme, “A CARE THAT NEVER QUITS”. In this programme we initiated a TRIPLE “A” MODEL is an acronym for three novel approaches, namely
